The University of the Cordilleras congratulates the Internationally- acclaimed Filmmaker, Artist, and National Artist for Cinema Dr. Eric De Guia, better known as Kidlat Tahimik, for his artistic novelty, putting the Philippines on the international stage through his exhibit titled, “Magallanes, Marilyn, Mickey y fray Dรกmaso. 500 aรฑos de Conquistadores Rockstars.” This will be showcased at Crystal Palace of the Retiro Park, Madrid, Spain, from October 29, 2021 to March 6, 2022.
Kidlat Tahimik was the 72nd Commencement Speaker and was conferred the degree Doctor of Humanities, Honoris Causa, by the University during its 72nd Commencement Exercises.
