EU Ambassador Véron was in his first outreach visit to the Cordillera Administrative Region to see the realities on the ground while observing health protocols. Joining were Deputy Head of Delegation Ana Isabel Sanchez Ruiz and Christoph Wagner, Head of the Cooperation Section, both from the EU Delegation to the Philippines.

The University of the Cordilleras (UC) is one with the EU in its mission to cooperate with the academic community in pursuing further internationalization to support mobilization of talent, knowledge transfer and acquisition, and enhancement of curriculum development, among others.

UC has an ongoing Erasmus+ funded project called “Geomatics in Disaster Risk Reduction” with 5 European institutes and 5 ASEAN universities. Moreover, UC has been one of the partners of the EU Delegation to the Philippines in organizing the 2020 and 2021 European Higher Education Fair (EHEF). In the 2021 EHEF, UC was invited to conduct a webinar to share its best practices in collaboration with EU institutions.
