David L. Almirol, Jr. is the Chief Executive Officer and founder of the Philippine’s leading software solutions company, Multisys Technologies Corporation. Just like the great pioneers of technological advancements, his rewarding life began through the limitless power of observation. In his childhood, while observing his father in their farm, he evolved an extraordinary idea in his mind, which he fondly cited as “productive ecosystems.” He then had a blazing fervor eager to develop his own interconnected systems. It was this remarkable idea that paved the way to who he is today.

Earlier this year, David was recognized as an honoree for science, technology and engineering at The Outstanding Young Men 2020. His excellent way of bringing service to the Filipino people through his distinct talent, admirable leadership, and exceptionally inspiring story of his life have been his own building tools to achieve such a lifetime award.
The search had the theme, “Pilipino: Tagumpay Natin ang Galing Mo.”

yesUCan: “Former OFW shows the Filipino can in IT”
David had once toiled as an Overseas Filipino Worker. Outside his homeland, he served as Programmer, IT Specialist, Software Engineer, and System Integrator to different enterprises. During his stay abroad, he likened himself to a “sponge”, observing and absorbing everything he could learn from people he worked with.
With the experiences and savings he had earned, he finally decided to come home to put up a computer store—only to lose everything again. But this didn’t stop him, and eventually, he was able to pull through by sticking to his first love, programming. Years after, he assembled a team composed of Filipino IT professionals. With dedication and hard work, the team had grown to what is now the Multisys Technologies Corporation, Asia’s Leading SME (ACES Awards 2020).
MultiSys remains dedicated despite pandemic challenges
The global pandemic had caused impactful change throughout the world. Companies, establishments, and enterprises had sought the need to strengthen their presence in the digital space.
The necessity for companies to set up efficient online presence had escalated work loads to David and his team especially during the implementation of nationwide Enhanced Community Quarantine.
To keep up with the needs of the changing world, MultiSys increased its capacity by hiring additional Filipino employees who were mainly elite programmers and full-stack developers.
In one of his interviews, David said, “This unfortunate situation will really bring about a new normal because we were all affected mentally, socially, physically, and emotionally. So for our part, we just have to make sure we are ready to take on the challenge of not turning away any company who might need our help. We are open to all partnerships, even start-up ventures.”
