The University of the Cordilleras – Innovation and Technology Transfer Office and the TARAKI-CAR served as the host for the Baguio leg of the United Nations’ Development Programme’s Youth Co:Lab Ideation Lab held last September 9, 2022, at the UC Auditorium.

The ideation lab is a face-to-face workshop for young Filipinos driven to uplift and address the challenges of their communities, with a particular focus on gaining a deeper understanding of the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). Participants of the workshop include the youth in the Baguio-Benguet area.

The event starts with an introduction of the event, and its different collaborators – including the UC-InTTO, TARAKI-CAR, and the UNDP. Afterwards, it introduces each of the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals, its targets, and indicators. Lastly, a workshop on developing solutions based on their preferred SDG and the concept of design thinking methodologies. Some ideas were encouraged to be included in their workshop proper during the Ideation Lab events.
