The Council of Hotel and Restaurant Educators of the Philippines (COHREP) National and Cordillera Administrative Region Chapter in partnership with the University of the Cordilleras conducted a Webinar with the theme: “Creative Tourism and Hospitality – Harnessing Cultural Heritage in the Industry” on October 14, 2022, from 2:00pm to 5:00pm through Zoom virtual platform.

The goal of the webinar is to expose tourism and hospitality educators and students to the importance of cultural heritage conservation and update them on relevant cultural heritage conservation issues, challenges, and opportunities within the context of the tourism and hospitality industry.

The event was attended by almost a thousand participants composed of students, faculty, and other industry stakeholders all over the Philippines.

COHREP is a leading academic professional organization “promoting quality hospitality and tourism education in the Philippines.” COHREP aims to “promote teaching excellence in hospitality education by providing venues to transform educators into confident and values-laden professionals, committed to the development of competent graduates with employable skills.” Thus, one of its programs this year is this series of webinar every month of 2022 empowering regional chapters to organize and host the said webinar according to assigned themes.
