The Research Center for Teacher Quality (RCTQ), operating under the esteemed Philippine Normal University (PNU), has officially recognized the University of the Cordilleras โ College of Teacher Education (UC-CTE) as a certified trainer for the Curriculum Quality Audit of Teacher Education Institutions in the Cordillera Administrative Region. In a significant stride toward enhancing educational standards, UC-CTE embarked on this accreditation journey, specifically providing educational outreach activities to other educational institutions.
Building upon this achievement, UC-CTE established strategic partnerships, formalized through a Memorandum of Agreement with two prominent institutions: Easter College Incorporated and Apayao State College. Together, these institutions formed a collaborative alliance aimed at elevating the quality of teacher education.
As part of this collaborative effort, UC-CTE conducted an impactful and comprehensive training-writeshop on curriculum design. This training, held from March to November 2022, was meticulously designed to empower the faculty members and practice teachers of the partner institutions. Through this initiative, participants were equipped with invaluable knowledge and skills, ensuring that the curriculum met the highest standards of quality and relevance.
This concerted effort exemplifies UC-CTE’s commitment to not only meeting but exceeding the benchmarks of teacher education. By sharing expertise and fostering collaborations, UC-CTE, in association with RCTQ, continues to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of teacher education institutions, thereby contributing significantly to the overall enhancement of the educational landscape.
