Atty. Maria Leonor “Leni” Gerona Robredo, former Vice–President of the Philippines, served as the resource speaker for the Training on Needs Assessment of Small Farmers at the University of the Cordilleras on March 3, 2023.

The training aimed to accelerate and sustain the community-based programs of UC’s academic colleges and Project Health, Education, Livelihood, Environment, and Nurturance (Project H.E.L.E.N.).

“As a steady presence in their community, academic institutions have the potential to bring different sectors together for a common cause… Ang collective talents at expertise nila ay malaking bahagi ng tagumpay ng ating mga programa. Ganito na rin ang papel ng UC sa kanilang komunidad,” said Atty. Leni Robredo on her FB post.
