Project H.E.L.E.N. Sagip Mata: Optical Mission

Gracelyn is a twelve-year-old daughter of visually impaired parents who are members of the Blessed Community of Persons with Disability Inc. (BCPDI). Although Gracelyn has undergone an eye operation, she still needs vision therapy and specialized eyeglasses.

On March 11, 2023, UC Project H.E.L.E.N. held its Sagip Mata: Optical Mission for the members of BCPDI, including their children, at Asin, Tadiangan, Tuba, Benguet. Gracelyn’s optical needs were met through the sponsorship of Project H.E.L.E.N’s partner – Dr. Junn Dizon of the Dizon Vision Clinic.

The Mission was also facilitated by registered nurses from the UC College of Nursing. The UC College of Information Technology and Computer Science Student Council distributed hygiene kits to the beneficiaries.

With a total of 35 beneficiaries, BCPDI is among Project H.E.L.E.N’s adopted community.
