Aeryk John M. Mosquete, Kyle Russel C. Lucero, and Samuel S. Samuel, BS Computer Engineering students, secure 1st Place in the Outstanding Student Creative Research – Sibol Award College Category at the DOST – TAPI Regional Invention Contest and Exhibit (RICE) in La Union in September 2023.

Their project, smart garbage bins, an innovative waste management solution, bested nine other entries.

The team is set to represent Northern Luzon at the national level of the competition scheduled in March 2024.
