A total of 980 student nurses were formally prepared for their hospital and community responsibilities and requirements through the 20th Capping, Pinning, and Candle Lighting Ceremonies on July 27, 2024, at the UC Gymnasium.
During the event, student nurses received their caps, symbolizing professionalism and commitment to the nursing profession. They also lit candles placed in lamps, where the candle represents their ongoing pursuit of knowledge, and the lamp signifies the guidance, hope, and comfort they offer to their patients. The pins marked their achievement and solidified their identity as nurses.
The student nurses were expected to start their clinical practice and community immersion during the first semester of SY 2024-2025.
