Exequiel Yuri J. Garcia, BSIT, Class 2023, received recognition for being the Top Scorer in the May 2023 South Korean Test of Practical Competency in Information Technology (TOPCIT) during the awarding ceremonies on July 17, 2024, in Seoul, South Korea.

The prize included a South Korea government-sponsored trip to Korea for Garcia and UC CITCS Dean Dr. Jeffrey S. Ingosan for their participation in the awarding ceremony, 6-day upskilling on Information Technologies, and benchmarking to top universities known for their excellence in TOPCIT examinations, as well as leading technology companies like Samsung and Hyundai.
