Four students from the UC College of Hospitality and Tourism Management, CJ Arvin Catanes, Junio Jeankieth Cariรฑo, Shania Olipane, and Mary Jennifer Moltio, placed 4th in the 9th Asian Federation of Exhibition and Convention Associations (AFECA) Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions (MICE) Youth Challenge held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on November 5, 2024.
Competing against 21 teams from 9 Asian countries, the students also earned the Best Theme Attire Award for their outstanding presentation that highlighted the rich culture of the Cordillera region.
Under the guidance of their coach, Mr. Lloyd C. Diawan, the team received strong support from the University and the Tourism Promotions Board MICE Department in the Philippines.
