The Geomatics in Disaster Risk Reduction program (GeoDRR) focuses on integrating disaster risk reduction into instruction, research, and community engagement while forging collaboration with industry and local communities. The program equips professionals with the skills to address human-induced climate change and disaster risk management.

The GeoDRR consortium is led by the Silesian University of Technology (Poland) in collaboration with the University of Alicante (Spain), the University of West Attica (Greece), and five Southeast Asian universities.

UC, as a University member of the GeoDRR consortium supported by the Erasmus+ of the European Commission, faculty members from UC participated in a specialized training workshop in Universidad de Alicante in June 2023.
