The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) has recognized UC with the National Capacity Development (CapDev) Accelerator Award for Local Governance. This accolade recognizes UC’s outstanding contributions as an integral partner in addressing the capacity development of Local Government Units and promoting excellence in local governance.

UC has consistently collaborated with the DILG on disaster preparedness and sustainable development initiatives through the integration of Geomatics Disaster Risk Reduction into Comprehensive Land Use Plans to strengthen local resilience and sustainable practices.

The awarding ceremony was held in Manila on December 11, 2024.
