Students from UC College of Engineering and Architecture (CEA) clinched ๐๐ฌ๐ญ ๐๐ฅ๐๐๐ ๐ข๐ง ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐ฆ๐๐ซ๐ญ ๐๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐๐ก๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐๐ง๐ ๐: ๐๐ง๐ง๐จ๐ฏ๐๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ข๐ง๐๐๐ฅ๐ ๐๐จ๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐ฌ ๐๐จ๐ซ ๐ ๐๐ฆ๐๐ซ๐ญ๐๐ซ ๐ ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ ๐๐ก๐ซ๐จ๐ฎ๐ ๐ก ๐๐ฆ๐๐ซ๐ ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐๐๐ก๐ง๐จ๐ฅ๐จ๐ ๐ข๐๐ฌ held on December 11, 2024, in Baguio City.
The winning team, composed of ๐๐๐ซ๐ฏ๐๐ฒ ๐๐๐ฌ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐, ๐๐๐ฆ๐๐ฌ๐ข๐ ๐๐ฅ๐จ๐ฉ๐ซ๐, ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐๐ง ๐๐๐ญ๐ ๐๐ฌ๐ฐ๐๐ฒ, and ๐๐ฎ๐ง๐ฒ๐ฅ ๐๐ ๐๐จ๐ง๐ณ๐๐ฅ๐๐ฌ, under the guidance of their adviser, Engr. Maria Victoria Castillo, impressed the judges with their project proposal, ๐๐ฆ๐๐ซ๐ญ ๐๐ข๐๐ณ๐จ ๐๐๐ฅ๐ค๐ฐ๐๐ฒ๐ฌ: ๐ ๐๐๐ฆ๐ข๐๐ข๐๐ ๐๐๐ฅ๐ค๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐ฑ๐ฉ๐๐ซ๐ข๐๐ง๐๐.
The team’s innovative proposal is a system innovatively converts footsteps into energy while incorporating a gamified reward feature that allows users to earn points with every step, encouraging physical activity and promoting sustainable practices in urban spaces.
The competition saw 67 teams from eight schools and universities in Baguio City.
