UC, the Department of the Interior and Local Government – Cordillera Administrative Region (DILG-CAR), and the Local Government Academy (LGA) formalized a partnership to advance capacity development in CAR through a ceremonial signing of Memorandum of Understanding on December 11, 2024, at the Manila Hotel during DILG’s Capacity Development Awards – Catalysts of Excellence: Gabi ng Pasasalamat event.

This partnership aims to enhance public service delivery by empowering Local Government Units (LGUs) with vital tools and expertise. Key initiatives include documenting LGU innovations and best practices, promoting citizen engagement through voter education programs, and bolstering barangays in areas such as disaster risk reduction, development planning, and youth development programs.
