The UC Political Science Society, the student organization of BA Political Science students under the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), spearheaded a donation drive to support fire victims in Camp 6, Tuba, Benguet, on January 4, 2025.

The initiative collected essential items such as towels, blankets, bedsheets, pillowcases, assorted clothing, food containers, toiletries, and food. Donations were made possible through the contributions of CAS students and faculty members, the CAS Student Council, and the official UC student publication – The Alternative. Faculty members from the UC College of Information Technology and Computer Science also contributed, alongside cash donations from anonymous donors.

Shortly after New Year celebrations, a structural fire took properties at Riverside, Camp 6, Tuba, affecting 62 families or 159 individuals as reported by the DSWD-CAR Social Welfare and Development Office.
