Jose Sebastian F. Villa, a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering (BS CpE) student from UC College of Engineering and Architecture, was hailed as the champion in the Java Programming Category during the 2025 Regional CpE Challenge Programming Competition.

With this victory, Villa has earned a spot in the national level of the competition.

The event, sponsored by CodeChum, was held on January 10, 2025, at UC.
