UC College of Nursing (CON) has resumed its Community Health Nursing Programs in Buguias, Benguet, reaffirming its commitment to community health. In January 2025, student nurses, led by their clinical instructors, were warmly welcomed by Mayor Ruben L. Tinda-an, with Municipal Health Officer Dr. Hilda G. Kimakim, who emphasized the importance of collaboration in local health initiatives.

The student nurses visited the Rural Health Unit in Loo, Buguias, where they were briefed on the community’s health profile. They then proceeded to their assigned barangays—Catlubong, Amlimay, and Sebang—for their community immersion activities and strengthen ties with local health workers.

This initiative reinforces UC CON’s commitment to experiential learning and community service, contributing to improved healthcare services in Buguias.
