The University Student Council (USC), in partnership with the College of Nursing (CON) Student Council (CSC), successfully held an HIV Awareness Seminar to UC students on February 8, 2025.
Aimed at promoting health education and reducing stigma, the seminar equipped students with essential knowledge about HIV/AIDS and prevention strategies. Student nurses, in particular, actively participated, demonstrating their commitment to public health advocacy.
Experts from Balay Marvi led discussions on HIV transmission, treatment, and the importance of regular testing, while also addressing societal misconceptions. The seminar empowered participants to become advocates for inclusivity and informed health decisions.
