In commemoration of the 1986 EDSA People Power Revolution, UC conducted an Educational Forum on EDSA People Power Revolution, encouraging students to uphold democracy in the face of rising disinformation. The event was held on February 25, 2025.
Mr. Ray Dean Salvosa, Chairman of the UC Board of Trustees and a political researcher, led the discussion, punctuating the key events leading up to the revolution, its historical significance, and the importance of remembering it in today’s digital age and rampant spread of disinformation.
Attended by students from Political Science, Criminal Justice Education, and the Humanities Strand from the UC Integrated School, the forum underscored the enduring relevance of EDSAโs legacy in the ongoing fight for freedom, human rights, and truth.
