UC College of Law (COL) commenced its Law Week celebrations with the launch of “Unrequited Love: Duterteโ€™s China Embrace” by award-winning journalists Marites Vitug and Camille Elemia. The book talk and launch were held on March 18, 2025, at the UC Theatre.

Vitug, one of the Philippinesโ€™ most accomplished journalists, is widely recognized for her in-depth reportage on justice, politics, and security. A bestselling author, she has written extensively on Philippine current affairs and currently serves as editor-at-large at Rappler.

Elemia, an award-winning multimedia journalist, is known for her investigative reporting on Philippine politics, Chinaโ€™s influence, and media disinformation. She contributes to The New York Times, Radio Free Asia, and its affiliate BenarNews, and previously worked with Rappler and CNN Philippines.
