UC BS Accountancy students from the Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (JPIA), along with faculty members from the UC College of Accountancy (COA), in partnership with the UC Center for Social Responsibility (CSR) through Project H.E.L.E.N., successfully conducted a seminar on Basic Bookkeeping for members of the Blessed Community of Persons with Disability, Inc. (BCPDI).
The seminar featured Dr. Julie Anne U. Abellera from COA as the resource speaker, who led an engaging session on business registration and essential bookkeeping principles vital for sustaining small enterprises. Dr. Rhodora A. Ngolob, Vice President for Administration and Student Services, also provided valuable insights on business management.
The initiative aimed to equip participants with crucial skills to better manage their livelihood operations. In addition to the seminar, participants received a specially curated massage kit, which included a cosmetic bag, massage oil, rubbing alcohol, oil liniment, a hand towel, and a talking calculator to assist with financial computations.
The seminar, conducted in March 2025 at UC, was designed to empower the members of BCPDI, a community composed of individuals with visual impairments, by providing practical tools for personal and professional growth.
