A team of Grade 11 Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS) students from UC Senior High School earned the Best in Research Proposal award at Salikseek 2025, a national research congress organized by the UP Communication Research Society at UP Diliman.

The group—Kris Joie J. Bejar, Aryanna Leisha B. Nginhena, Justine Chloe T. Penrad, James Bryan B. Simon, and Robinford M. Tuazon—was recognized for their compelling study titled “From Roots to Rhythms: The Material and Non-Material Culture Integrated in ALAMAT’s Music.”

Their success underscores the critical and creative scholarship developed within UC’s HUMSS strand and their commitment to exploring Filipino identity through contemporary music.
