Aristotle R. Carbonel, Officer of the UC Occupational Safety and Health Office, has successfully completed four levels of the Incident Command System (ICS) training, fulfilling requirements for the 5-day Training for Instructors (TFI) Course held from June 23 to 27, 2025. The training was facilitated and funded by the Office of Civil Defenseโ€“Cordillera Administrative Region (OCD-CAR).

With this achievement, Carbonel qualified as a CADRE โ€“โ€“ an instructor for the OCDโ€™s Programs for the Enhancement of Emergency Response (PEER) and other Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM)-related training courses.

Notably, he was the only qualified trainee from a private institution in his batch this year, representing the University and the private sector in the regionโ€™s DRRM initiatives.
