The University, through its Center for Social Responsibilityโ€™s flagship Project H.E.L.E.N., in partnership with the College of Criminal Justice Education, strengthened its commitment to community service by donating 164 assorted high school and college books to the Bureau of Jail Management and Penologyโ€“Cordillera Administrative Region (BJMP-CAR). The donation drive was held on August 5, 2025.

The turnover ceremony, led by Dr. Rhodora A. Ngolob, UC Vice President for Administration and Student Services, was held at the BJMP-CAR office along Abanao Street. The books were received by JCSUPT Delvic L Oreiro, Regional Director of BJMP-CAR.

The initiative underscores UCโ€™s mission to promote education, personal growth, and rehabilitation among Persons Deprived of Liberty. It also engages UC student volunteers as active partners in advancing social responsibility and inclusive community development.
