Showcasing their knowledge and creativity, Alessandra Denice T. Juco from the College of Accountancy (COA) emerged as the champion in the first-ever Intellectual Property Quiz hosted by UC Innovation and Technology Transfer Office (InTTO) in September 2025.
She was followed by Lehyenabi B. Nehyeban from the College of Arts and Sciences as first runner-up, Patrica Mae G. Cruz from the College of Business Administration as second runner-up, Jacymaine C. Reyes from the College of Teacher Education as third runner-up, and Daiki M. Hakamata, also from COA, as fourth runner-up.
The competition drew thirteen students from across all academic colleges, highlighting UCโs growing commitment to intellectual property (IP) awareness and innovation.
Dr. Thelma D. Palaoag, Vice President for Research, Innovation, and Institutional Planning, commended the participants and reaffirmed UCโs dedication to fostering a culture of research, creativity, and respect for IP rights.
Encouraged by the eventโs success, UC-InTTO plans to make the Intellectual Property Quiz an annual tradition to further promote IP education and inspire innovation across the University community.
