Showcasing skill and teamwork, Team UCrypted from the College of Information Technology and Computer Science (CITCS) achieved a 3rd Runner-Up finish in the DICT โ€“ CAR HackforGov Regional Qualifiers held on October 2, 2025, in Baguio City.

The team โ€” composed of Luke Benedict P. Borras, Jathniel Rei D. Carbonell, Ramel Joshua O. Cave, and Audre D. Montero โ€” competed against nine other higher education institutions across the Cordillera Administrative Region.

Their innovative approach highlighted teamwork, creativity, and determination as they tackled complex cybersecurity challenges.

Organized by the Cybersecurity Bureauโ€™s National Computer Emergency Response Team, HackforGov aims to empower the youth as defenders of cyberspace through innovation and collaboration toward a safer digital future.
