A total of 145 pre-service teachers from the UC College of Teacher Education pledged their commitment to fostering holistic learner development during the Collegeโ€™s 2nd Pinning and Coating Ceremony, held at the UC Theatre on November 19, 2025.

The ceremony marked a significant milestone in the journey of the future educators. The Pin and Coat symbolized their readiness to embrace the responsibilities of the teaching profession and signaled their transition from academic preparation to actual professional practice. The rite underscored their dedication to competence, collaboration, character formation, and a deeper understanding of learnersโ€™ diverse needs.

The event further highlighted the vital role pre-service teachers play in advancing inclusive, equitable, and high-quality education. It reaffirmed their commitment to lifelong learning and to nurturing transformative educational practices that empower learners to grow intellectually, socially, and emotionally in an ever-evolving world. The event was attended by the pre-service teachers’ parents, UC CTE private and public school partners, DepEd officials, and the Industry Advisory Board.
