Student nurses from UC College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences won major awards during the Global Conference on Health Innovations and Evidence Implementation held from December 3 to 4, 2025, at Novotel Manila Araneta City.

Athena Jae Oribello won 1st Place in the student poster competition for her quantitative study on Hepatitis B among garbage collectors, under the guidance of Ms. Phoebe Toyokan and Ms. Perciveranda Millare.

Danica Jane Bumaltao earned 2nd Place in her parallel oral presentation for her qualitative research on the lived experiences of breast cancer patients, mentored by Mr. Christian Basatan.

Rajen Insigne presented a phenomenological study on parenting a child with autism, while Carawell Cuyahon showcased research on the compliance of lying-in clinics and birthing centers with Department of Health standards, advised by Mr. Ferdinand Tercero.

The student participants represented their respective research groups as part of their Nursing Research 1 and 2 coursework.

These initiatives align with key United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being) by advancing healthcare knowledge and evidence-based practices, SDG 4 (Quality Education) through rigorous student-led research, and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities) by addressing health disparities among vulnerable populations.
