Ms. Jyka Reego S. Hipona, the University of the Cordilleras Registrar, was elected Secretary of the Association of Registrars of Educational Institutions in the Cordilleras (AREI-CAR) in October 2025 during the association’s assembly held in Baguio City.

As Secretary of AREI-CAR, Ms. Hipona is entrusted with key administrative and coordination functions, including the preparation and safekeeping of official records and minutes, management of formal communications, support in organizing conferences and capacity-building activities, and assistance in implementing programs and policies aligned with the association’s mandate. The role is central to ensuring operational efficiency, institutional coordination, and policy coherence among registrars across the Cordillera region.

Ms. Hipona’s election reflects the confidence of her colleagues and reinforces the University’s strong presence in regional professional networks. Her appointment further highlights the institution’s commitment to advancing best practices in student records management, academic administration, and quality assurance in higher education.
