UC, through Vice President for Innovation, Research and Institutional Planning Dr. Thelma D. Palaoag, formalized a partnership with the University of the Philippines Baguio to advance innovation-driven initiatives and strengthen the cityโ€™s growing start-up ecosystem. The MOU signing was held on February 2, 2026, at Balay International, UP Baguio.

The collaboration seeks to develop capacity-building programs, expand institutional partnerships, support emerging startups, and facilitate knowledge sharing among participating institutions. The initiative also aims to pool resources from higher education institutions, industry partners, and the local government unit to foster a more connected and sustainable innovation environment in Baguio City.

The UC Innovation and Technology Transfer Office drives research-based innovation by managing intellectual property, translating academic knowledge into real-world solutions, and fostering collaboration among faculty, students, industry, and community partners. Its initiatives in technology transfer and commercialization strengthen UCโ€™s commitment to sustainable development and the regionโ€™s growing innovation ecosystem.
