The UC Political Science Society, the official student organization of BS Political Science students, in collaboration with the College of Arts and Sciences Student Council, held a forum titled on EDSA Power Revolution on February 16, 2026.
The event gathered UC students to reflect on the continuing relevance of the People Power Revolution in todayโs digital landscape.
The event featured LTC Reynan C. Afan, Atty. Cheryl Daytec-Yaรฑgot, and Councilor Jose M. Molintas as speakers. Discussions centered on how the legacy of EDSA faces new vulnerabilities in an era where misinformation and historical distortion can spread rapidly through social media algorithms.
Speakers underscored the responsibility of digital citizens to uphold truth online and emphasized the critical role of the youth in safeguarding collective memory. They urged students to engage responsibly in digital spaces and to approach information with discernment and critical thinking.
