The Dativa Cristobal Foundation Inc., led by President and Chairman Mr. Benjamin C. Abellera, formalized a partnership with UC under the leadership of President Dr. Nancy M. Flores through the signing of a MOA on February 24, 2026.

Dativa Cristobal is among the pioneering professors of Baguio Colleges Foundation, now UC.

The collaboration establishes a full academic scholarship grant for deserving students of UC College of Teacher Education, covering tuition and academic support from first year until graduation. The program will take effect in School Year 2026–2027and is designed to sustain scholars throughout their entire undergraduate journey.

The initiative aligns with the findings of the Second Congressional Commission on Education (EDCOM II), whose January 2026 report underscored systemic gaps in the education sector, including persistent teacher shortages nationwide.

By investing in future educators, the partnership seeks to strengthen the teacher pipeline and contribute to long-term efforts to address workforce gaps in Philippine education.
