UC, through the Student Affairs Servicesโ€“Student Development and Welfare Center, successfully conducted an Eco-action initiative on January 15, 2026, at Busol Watershed, continuing its reforestation commitment under Project SAGIP.

Funded by the University Student Council, the sustainability initiative gathered UC scholars, TES and TDP grant beneficiaries, and USC members, underscoring student leadership in environmental stewardship. Participants carried out tree growth assessments, cleaning, weeding, and maintenance activities to support the healthy development and survival of previously planted seedlings.

This marks the second consecutive year that UC has returned to Busol Watershed to conduct tree care efforts, reinforcing its long-term approach to environmental rehabilitation rather than limiting engagement to tree planting alone.

Mr. Joeffrey Tuged, CEPMO Forester assigned at Busol Watershed, commended UCโ€™s continued involvement, noting that regular tree maintenance is crucial to ensuring high survival rates and healthy growth. He expressed hope that the partnership will continue in the coming years.
