Student artists of UC – Center for Creative Productions showcased the rich traditions of the Cordillera Administrative Region during the SayTura Concert held in February 2026 in celebration of Arts Month.
The concert featured a staged adaptation of the Ifugao epic Aliguyon, punctuating themes of courage, respect, and reconciliation between rival communities in Ifugao. The performance emphasized how conflict transforms into peace through understanding and unity.
The event also presented traditional music and dances from the different provinces of the Cordillera. The student artists brought to life indigenous rhythms, native instruments, and folk dances that reflect community values, courtship practices, and ceremonial expressions. The repertoire underscored the diversity and cultural pride of the region, blending movement and sound in a dynamic tribute to heritage.
The event, recognized by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts, formed part of the nationwide Arts Month celebration, reinforcing the role of student artists in preserving and promoting Filipino cultural identity through performance.
