The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) recognized UC and its academic colleges for their significant contributions to the Bayanihan Bayan Program in the Cordillera Administrative Region for Calendar Year 2025.
UCโs College of Arts and Sciences, through its MS Psychology students, spearheaded the facilitation of structured developmental activities and therapeutic interventions for the residents of the Regional Haven for Women and Girls (RHWG).
UC College of Accountancy led the EmpowerHer Outreach Activity at the Regional Haven for Women & Girls. The initiative, carried out in collaboration with RHWG staff, provided entertainment, nutritional support, gifts, and community-building activities, benefiting girls facing adversity.
UC College of Criminal Justice Education strengthened partnerships with DSWD-CAR through a Memorandum of Agreement with the Regional Rehabilitation Center for Youth, supporting stakeholders under the Rights2LIFE Project. Faculty and students presented multiple research initiatives at DSWD-CARโs 2025 Research and Recognition Forum, including studies on child-in-conflict-with-the-law and accessibility solutions for persons with disabilities, as well as research on case attrition among rape victims in Baguio City.
Through these efforts, UC, through its Academic Colleges, advanced meaningful collaborations with government agencies, enhancing both academic programs and community impact.
