The University Student Council, in partnership with the Baguio General Hospital and Blood Bank and Balay Marvi by LoveYourself Inc., successfully conducted the Dugong UCian Para sa Bayan: Blood Donation Drive with Free Blood Typing and HIV/AIDS Screening on February 7, 2026, at the UC Nurse Laboratory.

The activity promoted voluntary blood donation, HIV/AIDS awareness, and safe health practices while providing accessible health services to students, faculty, staff, and the community at large.

A total of 166 participants availed of blood donation and free blood typing services, resulting in 60 successful blood donors who contributed to strengthening the local blood supply for medical emergencies. Meanwhile, around 126 participants underwent HIV/AIDS screening conducted by trained personnel from Balay Marvi by LoveYourself Inc., ensuring confidentiality and proper counseling.

Organizers noted that the initiative highlighted the university communityโ€™s strong support for public health advocacy and community service, reinforcing collective efforts toward inclusive and life-saving healthcare initiatives.
