The University of the Cordilleras, through its Center for Social Responsibility and Project H.E.L.E.N., extended humanitarian assistance to families and communities affected by Typhoon Maymay and the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) in August 2026.

The initiative provided 50 boxes of soap, with 200 pieces per box, to the Office of the City Mayor of Baguio City, which received the donations for distribution to communities affected by the typhoon and Habagat.

The initiative aimed to provide essential necessities to families during their recovery while promoting volunteerism and social responsibility. It also strengthened UCโ€™s partnership with the local government in responding to community needs during times of crisis.
