The University of the Cordilleras, through the Center for Social Responsibility and Project H.E.L.E.N., conducted the Balili River Information and Education Campaign in September 2026, in partnership with UCโs College of Engineering and the College of Arts and Sciences.
Conducted in studentsโ respective classrooms, the initiative aimed to raise awareness of waterway protection and conservation, promote pollution prevention, and encourage responsible environmental practices. The activity also supported the environmental initiatives of the City Government of Baguio, through the City Environment and Parks Management Office and the Environmental Management Bureau.
Through the campaign, UC students were encouraged to participate actively in environmental protection and adopt sustainable practices that contribute to the conservation of waterways and the promotion of environmental sustainability.
