Audre D. Montero, a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology major in Network Security, secured the Wild Card spot in the Hack4Gov 2026 Cybersecurity Regional Capture-the-Flag (CTF) Competition held in August 2026 in Baguio City. Through this achievement, he will represent the Philippines at the Cyber Sea Games 2026 in Bangkok, Thailand.
The competition highlighted the important role of young people as innovators, problem-solvers, and future cybersecurity professionals in strengthening the nationโs digital security.
The Wild Card spot is awarded to the participant who achieves the highest individual score in the regional CTF competition, recognizing exceptional technical skills and problem-solving abilities.
The event was organized by the Department of Information and Communications Technology – Cordillera Administrative Region.
