UC, in partnership with Ghent University in Belgium, aims to advance a robust criminal justice system that champions the rule of law, values human rights, and fosters a sustainable and secure future for all Filipinos in the Philippines.

Faculty members and staff of the University are conducting research initiatives aimed at advancing human rights in the country through the Rights2LIFE Project. This endeavor, a collaboration between Ghent University and UC, spans five years with a PHP16.2M grant from VLIR-OUS. Rights2LIFE encompasses six domains, including an emphasis on enhancing research and development efforts.

On November 6, 2023, the research proponents presented their proposals to the Rights2LIFE team members at UC.
