The team of Hospitality and Tourism Management students was declared overall winner among 5 finalists from 15 entries in the Tourism Start-Up Competition at the 8th Youth for Tourism and Hospitality International Conference.

Their winning proposal, “LocaTOUR, Look and Book,” introduces a digital travel marketplace focused on community-based tourism while advocating Green Tourism.

The event, held on November 11, 2023, in Manila, gathered 800 attendees from 45 schools and universities across the Philippines.

The team was coached by UC CHTM faculty members, Ms. Laarni Lourdes B. Andam and Mr. Lloyd C. Diawan.
