Konrad Franz Fechtelhoff, a German exchange student, completed a year-long educational and cultural immersion at UC Integrated School (UC-IS) from August 2024 to June 2025. His immersion was part of UC’s partnership with the American Field Services (AFS) Intercultural Exchange Programs–Philippines.

“If I were given ten more chances to leave Germany and choose any country and school to go to, I would choose the Philippines and the University of the Cordilleras ten times,” Fechtelhoff said during his farewell speech.

As a Grade 11 student, Fechtelhoff experienced first-hand the Philippine educational system and local culture. He actively engaged in various activities, including sports programs, creative arts initiatives, Filipino language tutorials, and cultural presentations.
