Congratulations to Grade 12 STEM students Jim Jess King C. Mencero, Dave Yuri I. Jimenez, and Ayesha B. Habib of the UC Integrated School for securing 4th Place in the Catapult Challenge of the Ingenium Competitions held in March 2025 at the University of the Philippines โ Los Baรฑos.
The challenge combined a research-based planning task and a hands-on engineering competition, where students were tasked to design and construct a functional catapult that met specific performance objectives.
The UC team showcased strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and applied physics and mathematics skills, while also demonstrating effective teamwork, creativity, and scientific communication throughout the competition.
