The University underwent onsite inspection and validation for the Gawad KALASAG Regional Field Validation on June 20, 2025.

During the visit, UC showcased its comprehensive disaster risk reduction and management (DRRM) initiatives, highlighting its research programs, academic offerings, social responsibility projects, volunteerism efforts, operational readiness, and training activities. The university also emphasized its strong partnerships with communities and government agencies in advancing DRRM goals.

UC remains a consistent Gawad KALASAG awardee at both the regional and national levels, recognized for its innovative approaches to disaster preparedness, integration of climate change adaptation technologies, and its commitment to safety and security as institutional priorities.
