Groups of BS Nursing students from UC College of Nursing showcased their research excellence at the 5th Biennial International Conference of the Nurse Educators and Practitioners Guild, Inc. (NEPraGuild) held on July 15โ€“16, 2025, at the University of Northern Philippines in Vigan City, Ilocos Sur.

Representing UC in the two-day conference, the students presented their research in the Oral (Podium) and Poster Presentation categories. Among the outstanding participants was Kert Rencis Padilla, who earned the Best Presenter Award in the student Oral Research Presentation category for their study, โ€œLived Experiences of Breast Cancer Patients in Baguio City.โ€

Their success was rooted in a rigorous research process under the guidance of their adviser, Mr. Christian Basatan.

The UC contingent joined nearly 200 participants from 15 local and international higher education institutions in an event that emphasized collaboration and global dialogue in nursing education and practice. The conference highlighted the essential role of nurses in shaping healthcare systems worldwide.
