Cristine Joy C. Aromin, a BA Communication student from the UC College of Arts and Sciences, earned a finalist spot in the national poster-making competition held during the 18th Philippine National Health Research System (PNHRS) Week. The event, organized by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), took place on August 14, 2025, in Legazpi, Albay.
Aromin first earned top honors in the regional competition for the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), where she competed against students from other higher education institutions. Her victory secured her a place in the national finals, where she went on to compete alongside doctors and veteran researchers.
Despite being the youngest participant, Aromin stood out for her innovative approach and creative insightโearning her a spot among the national finalists and bringing pride to both the University and the region.
