The University of the Cordilleras, through its College of Teacher Education, has been designated by the Teacher Education Council as a Center of Excellence in Teacher Education. UC is one of only 13 Teacher Education Institutions nationwide to receive the prestigious distinction.
The designation reflects UCโs sustained commitment to academic excellence, evidenced by its performance above the national passing rate in the Licensure Examinations for Professional Teachers at both elementary and secondary education. The College of Teacher Education has been Center for Excellence for two decades, since 2010.
The designation was conferred during the First Council Meeting for 2026 held on June 3 at the Professional Regulation CommissionโNCR Office in Quezon City.
