UC commends the achievements of its debate contingents at the CIDA Novice Cup, an online inter-school tournament hosted by the Cebu Inter-school Debating Association in February 2026.
Competing against 84 teams from universities nationwide, the UC team demonstrated exceptional skill, strategy, and teamwork throughout the competition.
UC, composed of Crisjo B. Cadsap (Juris Doctor) and Sheldan B. Escano (BS Electronics Engineering), qualified as Open Quarter Finalists, showcasing their analytical abilities and competitive spirit on the national stage.
Mario A. Oriana III (BS Forensic Science) represented UC on the Core Adjudication Panel as Chief Adjudicator, playing a crucial role in crafting motions, overseeing judge allocations, adjudicating multiple rounds, and ensuring the smooth execution of the tournament.
